Pray Peter, Pray

There is a very serious debate that has been going on in the world for decades.  It has reeked havoc on society and has even been known to separate families and demolish friendships.

We can not allow such propaganda to plague the earth any longer.

Can we dare settle this issue here and now?

Is there a generation that is up for the challenge?

Who really is the Fastest Man Alive?!!!

The scarlet speedster?  The one we have all come to know and love, The Flash?

Or one, faster than a speeding bullet! Superman!

The comics tell the stories that sometimes Flash wins, and sometimes Superman wins.

I think comic books might be coning us into just buying more comics.

Run Barry Run

If anyone is familiar with The Flash, and his true identity, Barry Allen, you are aware of a particular phrase used to describe The Flash when he is in trouble or battle with a villain.

Someone always tell him to “Run Barry, Run”  As if just by running he could solve world peace.  (This is not to be confused with “Run Forrest, Run” populated by none other than the 90’s Oscar winning movie Forrest Gump)

It’s was a funny narrative when I heard someone tell him, “Sit Barry, Sit”.

I thought it was hilarious.  For some strange reason at that moment, Jesus popped in my head.

I heard him say, “Pray Peter, Pray”.

I was baffled to say the least.  Where did that come from?

I looked up the scripture to find where Jesus says this to Peter.

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter.  “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” – Matt 26:40-41

Was I getting a genius idea?  Maybe.

We Always Say Our Prayers:

In the “As For Me And My House Manifesto”, one of the statements is, “We Always Say Our Prayers”.

When we wake up.  At meal times.  Bed times.  For the sick.  We should pray without ceasing.

Jesus already told Peter he was going to deny him 3 times before the sun came up.  Peter was too cocky.  Thought he could handle the world on his own.

He couldn’t.

Jesus knew this and BEGGED him to pray.

We should be reminded to Pray also.

This world is so hard to live in.  It’s hard to wake up and be “IN” the world not “OF” it.  The temptations are innumerable.  Hardships at every corner.

Let be quick to pray.

To pray in a “flash” if you will.

I created this logo for a T-Shirt on this very subject of prayer.  I had one made for me. It’s a play on the flash logo and phrase. (T-Shirt Designed and printed by YTFgear)

I’ve never done anything like this before so I’m going to put myself out there.

I want you, my readers, or anyone else to have the opportunity to get This Shirt.
